This is not a paid ranking. We are starting with resorts that have clear family facilities, useful room configurations or current kids-club information. Cook Islands Tourism specifically highlights Pacific Resort Rarotonga, The Edgewater Resort & Spa and The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium as resorts with kids clubs.
Pacific Resort is on Muri Beach and currently has 64 rooms, suites and villas. Its current Kids Corner says Pacific Kids Club is aimed at ages 6–12, and the resort combines lagoon access with Muri restaurants and activities nearby.
Best for: families who want Muri convenience and a full-service resort.
Edgewater is a larger resort on Rarotonga's sheltered west coast with its Coconut Kids' Club, pool, dining and three-bedroom villa options. Its current supplier listing describes the resort as roughly ten minutes from Avarua.
Best for: families wanting a broad resort facility mix and larger accommodation choices.
The Rarotongan currently promotes Moko Kids Club, a mini waterpark and Teen Zone, alongside kayaks, paddleboards and snorkelling gear beside Aroa Lagoon. Its supplier page explicitly caters across younger children and teens.
Best for: families who want resort activities plus snorkelling on the doorstep.
Pacific Resort Hotel Group currently says Te Manava guests have complimentary access to the Pacific Kids Club plus transport between Te Manava and Pacific Resort Rarotonga. This can suit families who want villa space but still value some resort-style services.
Check the exact kids-club age range, operating schedule, whether supervision is included, room bedding, kitchen/laundry needs, pool fencing expectations and car-seat availability. If you need a rental child seat, official Tourism guidance recommends booking it in advance rather than relying on arrival availability.
