Where to eat in Muri when you don't want another generic resort list

Muri has enough choice that the better question is not “what is the best restaurant?” It is “what sort of evening do we want?”

For a special dinner: Nautilus

Nautilus is an easy shortlist choice when you want polished beachfront dining and a Muri Lagoon setting. Its current restaurant site says outside visitors are welcome and it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

For relaxed lagoon-front food: RSC

The Rarotonga Sailing Club's beachfront brasserie is less formal, with seafood, burgers, wraps and a kids menu.

For all-day resort convenience: Sandals

Sandals Restaurant and Barefoot Bar at Pacific Resort cover breakfast through dinner and are particularly easy if you are already based in central Muri.

For the market experience: Muri Night Market

Current official visitor information lists Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings from 5pm until sold out.

The useful strategy

If you are in Muri for a week, do one special dinner, one market night, one easy lagoon-front meal and leave the rest flexible.
